Supporting women’s livelihoods in Lebanon
UK Care for Children recently purchased sewing machines for and provided training sessions to 15 refugee women in Saida, Lebanon. Helping to build women’s financial independence by providing them with a source of income has shown to have a positive long-term impact on their families and communities. They have been able to ensure that their children stay in education, and reduce the financial burdens placed on their partners and family members.
