Eid joy for refugee children: Celebrating with UKC4C in Lebanon

This Eid al-Fitr, UK Care for Children (UKC4C) brought joy and celebration to refugee children in Lebanon through a special festival day. Thanks to the generosity of our donors during Ramadan, we were able to provide a day filled with happiness, games, and a sense of normalcy for children living in challenging conditions.
Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, is a time of joy and togetherness. However, for many refugee families in Lebanon, daily hardships often overshadow even the most festive occasions. Recognising this, UKC4C organised a festival day to ensure that children under our care could experience the joy of Eid.
The celebration included various activities, games, and treats, allowing children to escape their daily struggles and enjoy the festivities for a moment. This initiative not only provided entertainment but also fostered a sense of community and belonging among the children.
The success of the Eid festival day was made possible by the generous donations received during Ramadan. Your contributions enabled us to create a memorable experience for the children, reinforcing the importance of community support and solidarity.
Supporting refugee children in Lebanon
Beyond Eid, our Child Sponsorship programme plays a crucial role in providing ongoing support to refugee children. Through this programme, we provide essential services, including education, healthcare, and psychosocial support, ensuring that children have the resources they need to thrive.
Lebanon hosts a significant number of refugees who face numerous challenges, including limited access to basic services and economic instability. Children, in particular, are vulnerable to these hardships, which can impede their development and well-being.
Our Child Sponsorship programme helps over 2,000 children across Lebanon and Jordan, while all our programmes work directly to improve the lives of refugee children and their families. Your donations enable us to provide vital services and create opportunities for a brighter future.
